I'm a bit behind posting our New Years trip and have zero excuse except I've been lazy! We flew to Fort Lauderdale and stayed at the Westin Beach Resort with four other friends and had an absolute blast. Our days consisted of waking up, grabbing breakfast at the hotel, staking out our pool chairs, lounging by the pool for the day, afternoon siestas, getting ready and then going out for some fantastic dinners. Who knew Fort Lauderdale had such awesome restaurants?! By far and away, the best brunch we've ever had was at OB House....hands down, we all agreed it was literally the best brunch we've EVER, EVER had! I've also never been so uncomfortably full in my life! We also enjoyed really good meals at Big City Tavern (Wednesdays they have half of wine bottles!), La Dolce Vita (Italian), Big C's Downtown Pizzeria (if you're looking for delivery one night) Rocco's Tacos (good Mexican food, fun atmosphere and good for groups). At about 1:30am we saw all of these police cars outside of our hotel. It turns out someone tried to strangle their uber driver and the uber driver shot the lady in the behind. Nobody was seriously hurt.
